Pretty simple to do, actually. I haven't seen one of these listed online in ages, so don't snooze and lose on this hard to find part. I looked up the part #8790968 in original 1970s Master Parts books for all of divisions and have entered cross reference compatibility listing. The lower rubber boot/cap is in excellent condition - the upper boot does have some cracking around flex points.

Ready to bolt in and use. So be sure that you are buying the right part by visually confirming it first. Note: The Driver Door Actuator part is #8790969. I'd recommend that you grease up your window rails and lubricate the lock mechanism at same time replace this actuator.

Fully bench tested and it passed with flying colors. The Video Pictures show the lock plunger in UP and DOWN positions, to assure you that this is not a seized unit. Actuators are a fully non-repairable item when yours goes bad. Likely its a Passenger Door part though.

While it does fit all A body 2 doors, there were also usage references for early F-Body cars Cameras/Fire birds 1970-75. And the El Camino 1970-75. However GM sometimes had B body cars with stamped R actuators that were used in the Driver Left Door. If your lock pull doesn't go up and down, then likely the actuator has seized internally, either from moisture issues or electrical malfunction. Rust free body.

It would be a good ideal to sleeve the actuator or seal those cracks when installing. There is an R stamped on it as well, which usually means Right door. It appears to be GM Part #8790968, which is a RH Passenger Door lock actuator for 2-Door Cars ONLY This will not fit Skylark/Chevelle/Leans/Cutlass 4 door model's. Again, check the visuals before buying.
