Evidence of a bit old grease dirt grime in areas on the back side locks still remain. By this I mean normal wear like scuffs and scratches on painted surfaces. But the valet key does not work door missing hole dust cover.

I removed these locks from a well cared for 1987 Mercedes 300e. These locks are used so some wear is to be expected.

And a valet key marked with black as pictured. The steering wheel lock feature extends instantly every time keys are remove from.

The ignition assembly of this lock set can not be used on newer W124 model's since it does have transmission interlock attachment capability. As they do in all other locks with the exception of door lock missing dust cover. The valet key, as mentioned, oddly enough will not work door lock missing key hole dust cover. The valet key will insert rotate and exit door lock with operational hole dust cover.

The valet key inserts rotates and exits ignition lock smoothly. No issues with the valet key on good door lock or ignition.

Heres a chance to regain some piece of mind. Two master keys that work all the locks. Once seated the master keys rotate and exit this lock smoothly. I found no issues with the master keys on trunk lock or glove box.

The key hole dust cover door and plate on trunk lock one are free of dents. All of them. The master keys insert, rotate smoothly and exit ignition lock with ease. Some grime behind the locks.

Because of this I am guessing tumbler was replaced by a previous owner. And the valet key will insert rotate exit ignition lock just as smooth.

The buzzer connections are intact. An ex has a set and won't give'em back. This set consists of three keys. This lock set will fit the 1986 to 1989 left hand drive Mercedes gas powered W124 coupe or sedan.

The valet key inserts rotates and exits door lock with hole dust cover.

Do you own a 1986 to 1989 left hand drive Mercedes 300e four door sedan. Perhaps 1988 W124 300ce instead. If have need replace your locks please consider these genuine used as next replacements. There is minor scuffing of the paint on ignition lock barrel.

Once seated the two master keys rotate left and right smoothly exit this lock equally smooth. The master keys sometimes need to wiggle slightly up and down seat in this door lock. Are you in a situation where need to replace your gas powered Mercedes W124 locks. A left hand drive four door sedan built from 1986 1989. Or two coupe 1988 1989. Perhaps was passed down family members and the keys were lost some time ago.

Both master key insertions into the door lock previously used as drivers sometimes takes a tiny bit of effort moving up and down to get seated in. The steering wheel column lock pin is fully functional. Just change the locks.

All the used parts you see here are genuine Mercedes. The locks overall condition and ease of key rotation in all but former drivers door lock are exceptional. One door lock, originally used as the drivers has a key hole dust cover that is missing.
